Chocolate Nut Porridge
INGREDIENTS I SERVE 1:
50 g oatmeal
250 ml water
30 g chopped walnuts
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp cocoa nibs
PREP: 5M I COOKING: 5M
Put the oat flakes in a pot with the water and bring to boil. Cook for 5 minutes and mixing from time to time.
Remove from the heat and enjoy with the chopped walnuts, peanut butter and cocoa nibs.
The antioxidants in cocoa help you relax, reduce blood pressure and improve blood circulation. The many good dietary fibers in walnuts help to keep the blood sugar level down. As they give long-lasting saturation. Oat flakes have many good fiber and complex carbs. They satiate long and are good sources of energy.
You can keep your porridge in the fridge for the next day without any problems. Heat again with coconut oil in the microwave or in a pot. You can also use the stored porridge for pancakes or muffins. Simply stir a crushed banana and an egg into the porridge and prepare in a pan or oven.
