Mediterranean rice bowl

50g whole rice
2 carrots
50g broccoli
coarsely chopped nuts

Prepare the whole rice according to the instructions on the packet. Heat the olive oil in a pan and fry the vegetables lightly in it. (This is healthier than steaming in water and tastes better). Arrange the rice with the vegetables and serve with nuts, linen seeds and herbs.



Rice is one of the low-calorie side dishes. It provides fewer calories than e.g. couscous or pasta. In contrast to white husked rice, whole grain rice still has the so-called silver skin. It contains the relevant ingredients such as minerals, trace elements and vitamins. Cooked natural rice, as the whole grain rice is also called, contains healthy protein that is as biologically valuable as fish. On top of that, whole rice lasts longer and promotes digestion.



Cooked rice can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 2 days if it is cool, dry and covered. Or you'll freeze him. For this, the rice must be airtightly packed. When defrosting, simply drizzle with some olive oil so that it does not get too dry. So you can always quickly and easily conjure up delicious dishes. Prepare the rice with legumes like peas or with fish. There are no limits to your taste.
